Enjoy this quiet spot on Bear Creek
Portland Arch has been enjoyed and utilized by the Shawnee Indians, pioneers, by canal bargemen and church camp members and the Boy Scouts.
It was at one time an amusement park a part of the Nature Conservancy and now owned and administered by the Indiana Dept.of Natual Resources.
It would be worth your time to stop by and enjoy the natural stone arch, the sandstone cliffs, lofty trees and the clear water of Bear Creek.
